Jack Mathes
Owner, ABC Lock and Safe, Portland, Oregon
Jack Mathes owns ABC Lock and Safe in Portland, Oregon. The shop has worked on locks and safes there since 1993, and Jack has spent more than forty years at the trade.
Rekeying, lock repair and safe work are the heart of his shop, so he writes for this guide on those subjects.
Jack is an outside writer. He works in Portland, not Louisville, and his shop is not the service that answers the phone on this site. A pin tumbler lock and a safe dial behave the same in Kentucky as in Oregon. Local law is the one piece that changes, and the pages say when it does.
